Supporter [Fuel Contributors] Payment Terms

By making a contribution (“Fuel”) on TalesBox to the creator (“Storyteller”), you agree to the following terms and responsibilities:
1. Voluntary Nature of Contributions
1.1. All payments made through TalesBox are voluntary contributions intended to support the creative work of the creator (“Storyteller”).
1.2. These payments do not create any contractual obligation or entitlement to future rewards.
1.3. You acknowledge that your contribution is made at your own discretion and without expectation of direct benefit.
2. No Guarantee or Obligation
2.1. TalesBox and creators do not guarantee access to any specific content, rewards, or experiences in exchange for contributions.
2.2. Any benefits, acknowledgments, or rewards mentioned by a creator are provided voluntarily and are not enforceable obligations.
2.3. TalesBox does not verify, control, or guarantee the fulfillment of any promises made by creators.
3. Refund Policy
3.1. All contributions are final and non-refundable, except in limited cases such as:
- Duplicate or accidental payments,
- Technical errors during processing,
- Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
3.2. TalesBox may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if required by Stripe, card network rules, or law enforcement.
3.3. TalesBox may, at its sole discretion, intervene in disputes and request refunds on your behalf if the creator fails to comply with platform terms.
3.4. If you believe your payment qualifies for a refund, please contact us at support@talesbox.co.uk within 14 days of the transaction.
4. Fraud and Unauthorized Activity
4.1. TalesBox reserves the right to suspend or reverse any transaction suspected of being fraudulent or unauthorized.
4.2. Disputes will be handled through Stripe's dispute resolution system, in accordance with Stripe's terms and card network rules.
5. Technical Processing
5.1. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, not by TalesBox directly.
5.2. TalesBox does not store any payment card details or banking information.
6. Fees and Currency Conversion
6.1. Currency conversion and international transaction fees, if applicable, are determined by your bank or card provider.
6.2. TalesBox does not add any additional conversion or foreign transaction fees.
6.3. Stripe's exchange rates may include a fee, which is outside TalesBox's control.
7. Disclaimers
7.1. TalesBox acts solely as a platform provider and is not a party to payment transactions between supporters and creators.
7.3. TalesBox is not liable for any delays, processing errors, or creator non-performance related to your voluntary contribution.

These Terms describe how payments, fees, and payouts work for creators (“Storytellers”) who use the TalesBox platform.
By activating your "Get Fuel" button or receiving contributions through TalesBox, you agree to these Terms and to the Stripe Services Agreement and Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
TalesBox acts solely as a platform provider. All payments are processed by Stripe, and TalesBox is not a party to the payment transaction between you and your supporters.
1. Payments and Fuel Contributions
1.1. Supporters can send voluntary contributions (“Fuel”) to creators via TalesBox.
1.2. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. TalesBox does not store any card or bank information.
1.3. TalesBox is not responsible for failed payments, delays, or technical errors caused by Stripe or the user's bank.
1.4. By receiving Fuel, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the connected Stripe account and that all provided information is accurate and up to date.
2. Refund Policy
2.1. Fuel payments are voluntary and non-refundable, except in cases of:
- Duplicate or accidental payments.
- Technical errors during processing
- Fraudulent or unauthorized transactions.
2.2. TalesBox may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if required by Stripe, card network rules, or law enforcement.
2.3. Other Chargebacks or disputes initiated by supporters will be handled in accordance with Stripe's dispute process.
3. Creator Responsibilities
3.1. Creators are fully responsible for the content, campaigns, and activities promoted on their TalesBox profile.
3.2. TalesBox does not guarantee funding success or viewer engagement.
3.3. You agree not to misuse the platform for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities.
3.4. In case of disputes or chargebacks, creators must cooperate with TalesBox and provide the requested proof or documentation.
3.5. Creators must comply with all applicable laws, including tax, advertising, and intellectual property regulations.
3.6 TalesBox assumes no liability for disputes, failed commitments, or unfulfilled rewards between creators and their supporters. All such matters are the sole responsibility of the creator.
4. Violation of these rules
4.1 Violation of these rules, including misuse of the contribution system, false advertising, or failure to fulfill public commitments, may result in removal of the support functionality, withholding of funds, or account suspension.
5. Platform Commission and Stripe Fees
5.1. TalesBox retains a 5% platform commission (“application fee”) from each successful payment.
5.2. Stripe's processing fees for payments are automatically deducted by Stripe before payout.
5.3 Stripe's processing fees for Payout are automatically deducted by Stripe.
5.4. The remaining balance after fees is transferred directly to the creator's connected Stripe account.
5.6. TalesBox is not responsible for covering Stripe's processing fees, currency conversion fees, or chargeback costs.
5.6. All financial transactions are visible in your Stripe Dashboard for full transparency.
5.7 TalesBox reserves the right to adjust its commission policy with prior notice. Any change will be communicated via email and reflected in your account settings.
6. Taxes
6.1. Creators are solely responsible for reporting and paying any applicable taxes, VAT, or income tax, or any other taxes arising from their earnings on TalesBox.
6.2. TalesBox does not provide tax or accounting advice.
6.3. Depending on your country, Stripe may request tax identification or documentation before payouts are released.
6.4. Stripe may act as an authorized agent of TalesBox for the purpose of collecting, withholding, or remitting any applicable taxes, including withholding tax, and for requesting any related information from the customer or creator, in accordance with Stripe's own terms and applicable tax regulations.
Payment Example
To help you understand how your final payout is calculated, here's a practical example:
Let's say Customer John sends £20.00 to your connected account. This transaction is processed through an international (non-EU) payment system, where Stripe's standard processing fee is 3.25% + £0.20.
The breakdown is as follows:
- Total payment from customer: £20.00
- TalesBox platform fee (5%): £1.00
- Stripe processing fee (3.25% + £0.20): £0.85
- Net amount to creator: £18.15
In this example, you will receive £18.15 in your connected Stripe account. Of the total payment, £1.00 is withheld by TalesBox as a platform commission, and £0.85 is deducted by Stripe as its processing fee.

- Payout fees, withholding tax, and timing may also vary based on multiple factors, such as country, currency, bank type, payout schedule, or instant payout options.

7. AML / KYC and Suspicious Activity
7.1. To comply with financial regulations, all creators must complete identity verification (KYC) through Stripe.
7.2. TalesBox and Stripe reserve the right to suspend or withhold payouts if suspicious or fraudulent activity is detected.
7.3. TalesBox may share limited account data with Stripe to fulfill Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and compliance obligations.
8. Account Termination
8.1. TalesBox may terminate or restrict access to payment features in case of:
- Violation of these Terms,
- Fraudulent or misleading activity,
- Breach of Stripe's & Talesbox Acceptable Use Policy.
8.2. Upon termination, remaining funds may be held temporarily until Stripe confirms settlement or refund resolution.
8.3 If you deactivate your TalesBox account, your linked Stripe account will not be automatically closed. All financial relationships and obligations related to your Stripe account will remain active until you manually disconnect or close your Stripe account directly via Stripe.
9. Disclaimers and Liability
9.1. TalesBox provides payment tools “as is” and makes no guarantees regarding availability or uninterrupted service.
9.2. TalesBox shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from payment processing or user misuse.
10. Changes to These Terms
10.1 TalesBox may update or modify these Terms from time to time. Creators will be notified of significant changes via email or the TalesBox Dashboard. Continued use of payment features after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
